Humanly Systems Ltd is a small software studio in the United Kingdom. We make desktop apps, mobile apps, web products and security tools, and we build software for other people who want the same care put into theirs.

Everything we make starts as one sentence. serve is a folder on your network in one command. dskcopy writes a disk image and checks that it landed. If a feature does not serve that sentence, it waits, or it does not ship.

Desktop apps (4) for macOS, Windows and Linux: serve, Exif AI, dskcopy, and Grabbr, which is still being built.

Mobile apps (2): Zyphr, a private messenger that needs no phone number, and Travllr, which counts the days you spend in each country.

SaaS apps (3): Velocty, a self-hosted CMS in a single binary, analyze.rs for file analysis in the browser, and ipinfo.is for IP geolocation.

Security tools (3): idNX for mapping a network, and capa-rs for finding out what a program can do.

Most of our tools are written in Rust and ship as one native binary for each platform. No runtime to install, no background services you did not ask for.

Much of it is open source under the MIT or Apache 2.0 licence, so you can read the code before you trust it. Every release comes with SHA-256 checksums, and our install scripts refuse to install anything that does not match.

We prefer software that works on your own machine, asks for as little as it can, and stays out of the way when it is not needed. We write about that thinking, and about device concepts we would like to exist, in Ideas.

We take on a small number of client projects: desktop apps, mobile apps and SaaS products, from a first version to something that replaces an app you already have.

Small idea? Ask anyway. If it would not take us long, we may build it for free or for a nominal fee. We pick a few each month, build them once, and may open-source the result or share it on our site.
